Restoration of a Kal Trac Airport Tug

Joe Kritzer's dream has been to own a Kal Trac airport tug, since his father drove one 36 years ago for Western Airlines. He bought a 1977 tug from Warwick Manufacturing, Brunswick, New Jersey in September 2021. He has been restoring it since then and as of February 2025 it is completely and beautifully restored in running condition. He has even reproduced the battered vehicle identification plate. The engine is a Ford in-line 6-cylinder 300 Industrial and the transmission is an FMX Ford. Western Airlines were a buyer of Kal Trac tugs made in the Reed St factory of the Kalamazoo Manufacturing Company. Alas, as no paperwork survived from the company we don't know how many airport tugs were sold or who bought them.
